Create your very own version of the Mad Hatters tea party by inviting friends round to enjoy tasty treats and heart-warming drinks, served with the elegant Mikasa x V&A Alice In Wonderland Sugar Bowl & Creamer Jug. Beautiful black sketch-style illustrations stand out against a backdrop of white fine china, with a gleam thats reminiscent of the Cheshire Cats mischievous grin. The designs are inspired by an Alice in Wonderland card game based on illustrations by Sir John Tenniel (1820 – 1914). Elements of each design, including the White Rabbits watch chain and the Mad Hatters bow tie, are detailed in gold, so they stand out against the black print. On the sugar bowl, The White Rabbit frets about his tardiness, exclaiming Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!, while Alice remarks ‘Curiouser and curiouser!’ on its other side. The jug depicts Alice at the Mad Hatters tea party, where he reassures her, Were all mad here. The spherical sugar bowl is topped with a round lid that has a slot for a small spoon, while the globe-shaped jug has a generous pouring spout and handle. Match them with other items from the V&A Alice in Wonderland range to create a complete, a cute, afternoon tea set.
